Use of SAI Assessment and Clinical Formulation Tools
This self-taught course provides a step-by-step guide to the use of SAI Assessment and Formulation Tools. These tools are particularly useful for complex cases where the source of the presenting differences and difficulties may be trauma, sensory or attachment related, or any combination of all three.
The course will examine possible underlying reasons for behaviour to inform the formulation process and assignation of behaviours in terms of levels of self regulation. For example, is the display of aggression an instinctive survival response or is it strategic attachment behaviour? Included is an intervention template for planning sensory-attachment intervention as well the SAI Model of Interventions Chart when a range of interventions are recommended.
