This course provides therapists with the knowledge and tools to profile, clinically assess, and provide a structured regulating programme for their client group.
Part One: Profiling Clients to enable bespoke regulating intervention.
Part Two: The Just Right State Protocol for Adolescents & Adults.
Part One: Profiling: Behaviour, Is it Survival, Sensory, or Attachment?
The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), Stress Profile (Bhreathnach), and use of Sensory Profiles. States of Arousal Chart & Self Monitoring.
Clinical Observations of Postural Control & Praxis.
Clinical observations – practical.
Observations of Daily Living Skills.
Part Two: Adolescent & Adult Protocol
The link between stress patterns, early care experiences, and current self-care patterns.
Use of internal and external resources to facilitate self-regulation and
Enriched Environment Provision.

This is part of a top-up Course only open to Occupational Therapists who have completed the SAI Level 1 Course for Therapists, and who are working in CAMHS [adolescents & adults] or in Forensic Mental Health Services.
